3 Jul 2019
Scheduled maintenance to Core Switching Equipment.

Planned works: Wednesday 10th July 2019 23:00 - 01:00 Thursday 11th July 2019

During this window, we will be performing a reboot of one of our core switches at the recommendation of our vendor to apply new configuration.

All MVNO SIMs will disconnect, however, they will re-connect to our services when an alternative route is available.

Voice traffic may see a few seconds of disruption at the beginning of the works, as traffic reroutes.

SMS (inbound and outbound), text to speech, fax on aql numbers, access to portals, and access to APIs, are expected to see a few minutes of disruption as traffic reroutes.

We expect traffic to re-route to other devices during this time frame, however, as we are working on a core piece of network infrastructure, all aql IP services (Co-Location, Peering, SMS, Voice, L2TP) will still be considered at risk throughout the window.

This work has been separated from the regular Monday night maintenance works as it is a major change to core hardware. To ensure minimal disruption, we have taken precautions be ensuring that we have a pre configured spare ready for use, in the event of hardware failure.

If you have any questions in regards to these planned works, please contact the Support team via the Portal or alternatively call the team on: 0113 3203040.

Kind Regards
